Facebook was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and fellow Harvard University students. It now has over 200million members and is the most popular social network.

Facebook has become increasingly used by businesses to create groups/pages to connect their customers and 'fans'. It can be a low cost way of communicating with customers and creating a critical mass of interest in your business which can spread virally across the Facebook Network.
